Cookie Hagendorf lives in Queens with her beautiful girlfriend, an elderly cat, and a sweet but murderous dog. She publishes a bimonthly print newsletter, Life Harvester—a hodgepodge of literary criticism, music writing, personal essay, and advice. She hosts, engineers, and edits Life Harvester Radio, a mostly-monthly series of conversations with writers, artists, activists, tattooers, musicians, and other counter culture types about their cultural production under capitalism, aka “why should we make stuff when society sucks?” She created the blog Slice Harvester and the fanzine of the same name, in which she reviewed every plain slice in Manhattan. Her memoir Slice Harvester: A Memoir In Pizza was released by Simon & Schuster and was one of NPR's Best Books of 2015.
